Programme 01

Mobile Kitchen

The mobile kitchen originally launched in Bradford in December 2012. In April 2013 we launched in InTouch Keighley and in May 2014 we launched InTouch Leeds. We are now looking to work with local teams to expand our project into neighbouring cities. Since the project launched - across the cities we have distributed in excess of 200,000 meals.

The aim of the mobile kitchen is to provide hot food and drinks to people that are either living in poverty or are homeless. We provide cooked meals which normally consist of a chicken biryani along with raita and bread. We also provide hot drink drinks which include hot chocolate, tea, coffee along with biscuits, cake and fruit.

What we serve

  • Hot meals (curry, soup, pasta) cooked fresh each week
  • Warm drinks — tea, coffee, hot chocolate
  • Sandwiches and snacks to take away
  • Hats, gloves and blankets in winter months
  • Toiletries, sanitary products and basic first aid

Community

Project Ayaana - previously known as InTouch Community is a Social welfare project being set up to promote community cohesion and work with those individuals who need our help the most locally and internationally. What we run

  • Ramadan food drives with local schools and supermarkets
  • Open community iftars during Ramadan, all welcome
  • School workshops on poverty, homelessness and giving
  • Seasonal clean-ups around the city centre

Overseas projects

Marriage Support Projec
InTouch Foundation supports vulnerable families in Pakistan by providing wedding support, essential household items, and financial assistance to help young couples begin married life with dignity and stability. The project also helps ease the financial burden of marriage through individual and group wedding support for families affected by poverty.

Ghana Community Support
InTouch Foundation supports communities in Ghana through sustainable livelihood projects, food aid, and community welfare programmes. The foundation has distributed thousands of Eid and Qurbani food packs, provided meals for prisoners, and helped families build long-term financial independence through farming initiatives.

Where we work

  • Yemen — emergency food parcels for displaced families
  • Bangladesh — school meals for orphaned children
